The UK's first Immersive Art Salon

I conceived and curated the Immersive Art Salon for Mediale, a one-day event held at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music as the culmination of Immersive Assembly Vol. 3: Truth & Testimony —an artist development programme for early-career digital artists, producers and creators, supported by the Jerwood Developing Artists Fund and The Glasshouse.
The aim of the event was to bring together artists, curators, producers, technologists, commissioners, funders and cultural organisations from across the UK's immersive arts sector, to network, meet each other and initiate conversations. Participants included representatives from XR Stories, FACT Liverpool, arebyte, Arts Council England, Goldsmiths University, BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art and more.
The Salon featured presentations and demonstrations of new immersive works developed by the Immersive Assembly residency artists, feedback sessions with industry professionals. There was also a panel discussion "Beyond the Grid: Exploring the Present and Future of Immersive Arts", and curated networking activities including project demos, an open mic, an opportunity board and facilitated networking. Together, these activities created opportunities to exchange ideas, showcase new work and foster future collaborations across art, film, XR, music and technology.
This event was part of Immersive Assembly by Mediale: website.
